Quinney’s Got Talent

The annual Frankel Scholarship Fund Raising is on March 29th 3-5:00 p.m. Share your talents with the law school community! Mark your calendars!

The public law organization (PILO) is hosting it’s second annual Quinney’s Got Talent award show on March 29, 2012 at 3:00-5:00 in the Gibby. This fundraiser supports the Frankel Fellowship which is given to support a student with a proposed placement in a low-paying or non-paying public service summer job that is law-related and located in Utah.

This is a worthwhile cause and a wonderful event. All participants and attendees had a wonderful time last year! We will be sending out an email soon for anyone who would be interested in performing in the talent show. All participants will receive a prize, and the winner gets the honor of having their name on a plaque downstairs!

To be put on the schedule, contact Sandi via email at sandi.ness@law.utah.edu.

PILO BBQ!

Mark your calendars because PILO is hosting it’s 1st Annual PILO opening social! Be excited, because this has never been done before! This event will occur on September 22, 2011 at 6:30 PM on the lawn just north of the law school (where the SBA welcome BBQ was held). We will have great BBQ food, as well as wonderful Public Interest Attorney’s from the community!

This is an excellent opportunity to get to know lawyers within the community–the RSVP’d attorneys so far include Trina Higgins, Violent Crimes Section Chief from the United States Attorney’s Office and Tom McClelland from the Legal Defenders Office. We will keep you posted on additions to our attorney RSVP list.

This is a wonderful opportunity to get involved in Public Interest Law, and we hope to see you there!
